Interior accessories called jamb extensions are normally vinyl pieces that snap on to the window to account for the overall wall depth. They are commonly referred to as the “ledge” inside the home where you will commonly see the blinds mounted or treasures displayed. These jamb extensions are offered in a wide range of depths for common traditional construction as well as fully customizable options which allow for a variable depth to finish the inside regardless of the wall depth or style of construction. We also have exclusive interior finishing trims which could retain existing inside character moldings and finishings or also allow for a customizable depth of “ledge” relating to where the window is positioned in the wall.
Once the window is in and the wall depth is accounted for, its time for the finishing trim, the casing. Casings are a cosmetic finishing trim that bridge the gap around the window and the wall where the window frame is insulated. We offer maintenance free PVC casing, as well as primed MDF. They are available as a contoured colonial style or a flat style. These are what we offer, but we will install basically what ever you would like and in some cases even re-use what is already there.
